The Drop (1997)

Details Lead Performance: Brian Eno; Genres: Electronic, Experimental

Brian Eno works with random actions in music to allow for a happy accident or two in The Drop. Like most of his ambient forays, this one takes time to take shape. The first selections of stray notes and stuttering beats are unsure. But once he locks into confident bass tones, the fluttering notes at the high end seem to find their complement. By the final track, ''Iced World,'' he's in full stride. B
