David Ryan Harris' former band, Follow for Now, was poised to become the next Living Colour before the black rock revolution fizzled. Now the Atlanta-based multi-instrumentalist has reinvented himself as an alt-R&B auteur on this self-produced solo debut, David Ryan Harris. Rockers may miss FFN's wall of guitars, but Harris' subtly psychedelic, Stevie Wonderish soul-pop should go down fine with fans of D'Angelo or Maxwell. B
