Maxwell has the quintessential R&B agenda: His tunes on Unplugged EP seem tailor-made to get lovers to uncork the wine, dim the lights, and slip into something more comfortable, and he works hard here to make the mood right. But his musical moves are so choreographed that one's too busy gaping at this disc's easy-listening sheen to actually get busy. C
