NOTHING TO LOSE (R) Tim Robbins is a distraught ad exec; Martin Lawrence is the unemployed family man who tries to carjack him in a mismatched-buddies-on-the-road story that's much sharper and funnier than what you might have expected from a racist, formulaic comedy starring a high-minded director and an angry sitcom star. Writer-director Steve Oedekerk takes two performers who often project keep-away vibes and loosens them up with a script that makes good use of their own harshest characteristics. B-
