Grave Indiscretion

On marquees last winter as Gentlemen Don't Eat Poets, this gothic black comedy, Grave Indiscretions, stars Sting and his wife, Trudie Styler, as Mr. and Mrs. Fledge — a devious butler and cook who serve up murder and mayhem in an English manor. You'd have to have crumpets for brains not to know The Butler Did It and Is Doing It with everyone upstairs and down. Wicked Fledge seduces the lady of the house (Theresa Russell) while setting up her windbag hubby (Alan Bates) for murder. The victim, a poor poet, ends up in a pork pie! Oh, those kooky Brits. B-
