Framed with black humor as sleek as her leather jumpsuit, this picaresque erotic fable finds Magdalena searching Europe via motorcycle for passionate love. But as each affair — with the likes of a Transylvanian Jehovah's Witness and a flamenco instructor who's got a ''developed sense of rhythm'' — disappoints her, she offs the lover in question and hits the road. Through her antiheroine's wacky but seductively witty voice, Austrian writer Lilian Faschinger edgily satirizes notions of sin, piety, and sexual politics. B+
