Perusing titles like ''Hyl Fawr I Pawb'' and ''Dark Knight,'' one might expect this Welsh quintet's second disc, Barafundle, to sound something like Spinal Tap, circa ''Stonehenge.'' Mercifully, though, Gorky's Zygotic Mynci have more in common with Radiohead (dramatic time and key changes) and the Beatles (eminently hummable melodies, barrelhouse rhythms) than they do with Tufnel & Co. Still, sudden switches into flute-backed Welsh passages conjure at least a little elfin magic. A-
