The runner-up among frosh albums, Green Day's Nimrod, had an 82,000-unit week and a No. 10 entry. Higher up — but probably not high enough for their tastes — Janet Jackson, Mariah Carey, and Boyz II Men have all discovered that their days of enjoying weeks on end in the top spot may be behind them. With veteran acts settling into an era of diminished expectations, LeAnn Rimes moved back into first place, possibly inspiring a run on voodoo dolls by her elders.
