Details Lead Performance: The Moog Cookbook

THE MOOG COOKBOOK Ye Olde Space Bande (Restless) Somehow, the joke never wears thin in this collection of '70s rock staples reinterpreted entirely through (mostly vintage) synths. Proto-techno revivalists Roger Manning (Jellyfish) and Brian Kehew invest the likes of ''Cat Scratch Fever'' with lively enough arrangements that the stuff starts sounding scarily good. Every time burnout looms, there's another laugh-out-loud brilliant touch, like imagining the ''More Than a Feeling'' chorus produced by Giorgio Moroder. B
