Apparently enough time has passed that no one mistook The Firm for a follow-up release by the late, unlamented Jimmy Page/Paul Rodgers '80s supergroup of the same name. Unencumbered by any such confusion, fans flocked to stores to pick up the debut from this Dr. Dre-produced rap supergroup, whose unflaccid ranks include the likes of Nas and Foxy Brown. Aside from that 147,000-copy bow, there was no new blood in the top 10, as LL Cool J, Green Day, and the Gang Related soundtrack dropped out and Master P and the unsquelchable Jewel dropped back in. John Denver fever seems to be abating some; after a one-week posthumous appearance, his Greatest Hits fell out of the catalog chart's top 10, if not necessarily farrrrr ouuuuut.
