JIM HALL Panorama (Telarc Jazz) Jazz guitarist Hall is a veteran with a greenhorn's zeal for finding new routes of expression. That's evident on this creatively vibrant live album, featuring guests like pianists Kenny Barron and Geoff Keezer, alto saxist Greg Osby, and trombonist Slide Hampton. A deceptively soft-spoken player deserving greater recognition, Hall is in one of the richest phases of his career. B+
