Sacred Ground (1992)

EW's GRADE
C+

Details Genre: Country/Bluegrass

McBride and the Ride were only partly successful in lassoing a viable country-rock style on their debut, something they've rectified with their second, Sacred Ground. Unfortunately, their sound — crisp but gentle rockers with stacked harmony vocals — is now far stronger than their material, distinguished mainly by the title tune, a loving husband's request to his wife's boyfriend to leave his family intact. C+
