UPN's Star Trek: Voyager went where no show has gone before in that young would-be network's history. Although it ranked 87th for the week, Voyager (which has shown new life since the recent addition of Jeri Ryan's alien babe, Seven of Nine) gave UPN its best ever Wednesday-night ratings, outperforming CBS stalwarts The Nanny (59th) and Murphy Brown (71st) among adults 18-49. In the Sunday-sweeps race, The X-Files (7th) ruled its time slot once again, although stellar ratings for CBS' Bella Mafia, Part One (9th) -- which rubbed out NBC's broadcast of Batman Forever (44th), and the first part of ABC's Medusa's Child (75th) -- helped give the Eye network its first November sweeps-week win since the 1994-95 season.
