Dein Perry's all-male Australian dance sextet is sensational — tapping on wood, metal, water, steps, and (with a cable assist) ceilings. But the live performance in Tap Dogs taped in London's Lyric Theatre succeeds mainly in making you wish you had been there. Though the imaginative sets (the floor is in a constant state of motion, along with the performers) are a treat, the underwhelming sound will leave you growling. Woof. C
