Seems that everyone wanted to know What the Deaf Man Heard (1st), as Matthew Modine's CBS Hallmark Hall of Fame telepic pulled in 36.9 million viewers and the highest ratings for a TV movie since 1991's Sarah, Plain and Tall. It easily crushed NBC's Legends of the Fall (48th) and ABC's Dead by Midnight (84th). Part 2 of the Eye's Bella Mafia (12th) helped make it the highest-rated November miniseries, and the network is likely to claim a sweeps victory in total viewers. Over at Fox, The X-Files (8th) continued to deliver on Sunday, but an added rerun on Friday couldn't help pump up Millennium (83rd). The Peacock aired a bonus repeat of Friends (6th) on Thursday at 8:30 p.m. that averaged 6 million more viewers than last week's Union Square.
