While some foodies are carping that the classic's gently admonishing tone has been lost in the rigorous, many-hands editing process, it's dubious that anyone misses that jettisoned recipe for muskrat with creamed celery. The sixth edition now has 750,000 copies in print after three pressruns, bringing the all-time total close to 15 million. Mmm, mmm, good.
