The Wave Benders quintet works hard to re-create the sound of classic surf music. And that's the problem: Surfin' Christmas shouldn't be such hard work. Even such a carefree classic as ''Rudolph'' sounds like it was performed with sweatily furrowed brows. Better to check out the wonderful Christmas With the Ventures.
