WATERWORLD (Ocean of America, for Virtual Boy, $59.95) Ocean of America (no, the name's no joke) obviously wanted to make a splash with this version of the Kevin Costner adventure just out on video, but as with most videogame adaptations of lumberingly expensive action flicks, the result's all wet. Although some of the 3-D effects are stunning -- a given with Nintendo's underrated Virtual Boy -- the gameplay itself, in which you blast jet-skiing villains with a virtual trimaran, boasts considerably fewer dimensions. Let's hope Virtual Boy starts seeing some more-compelling software -- otherwise it's going to sink faster than the Exxon Valdez. D
