Movie Review

Bushwhacked (1995)

Details Rated: PG-13; Length: 90 Minutes; Genre: Comedy; With: Janna Michaels and Daniel Stern

In Bushwhacked, Daniel Stern rehashes his Home Alone persona as a dim-witted deliveryman who gets stuck on a Ranger Scout hiking trip while on the run from police (don't ask). You can tell by his loafers he's not the expert trail guide the kids think he is. But don't expect them to catch on very fast; that would preempt too many fish-out-of-water gags. Stern has the requisite run-ins with bears, bees, and camping gear before getting his chance at redemption in a heroic, cliff-hanging finale. If you fast-forward through this final part, the movie seems slightly funnier.
