Gen X Marks the Bat

''Batman and Robin'' boasts the young talents Uma Thurman, Chris O'Donnell, and Alicia Silverstone

With the twenty-and-under-somethings lined up to star in Batman and Robin, it may as well be called Reality Bites Again. Consider the X-treme credibility of the supporting cast:

UMA THURMAN
Age: 25.
Comic-book persona: Poison Ivy.
Claim to fame: Charmed comeback stars like John Travolta (Pulp Fiction) and Timothy Hutton (Beautiful Girls).
What she brings: Plenty of art-house appeal, thanks to her indie-movie resume; plenty of Late Show plugs because of the Uma-obsessed Letterman. ''And,'' promises director Joel Schumacher, ''she'll be wearing almost nothing.''

CHRIS O'DONNELL
Age: 25.
Comic-book persona: Robin.
Claim to fame: Hello, codpiece.
What he brings: Two words — stud-muffin.

ALICIA SILVERSTONE
Age: 19.
Comic-book persona: Batgirl.
Claim to fame: Blew away audiences with her alterna-vocabulary and her Hamlet analyses in Clueless — as if you don't remember.
What she brings: Just, like, every boy who's still using Clearasil and every girl who wants him. Schumacher calls her ''the sexiest, hottest, coolest young actress in Hollywood.'' Whatever.
