Details Lead Performance: The Beatles; Genre: Pop

The Beatles seance continues with yet another fleshed-out Lennon leftover, ''Real Love''. John's voice remains shrouded in ghostly reverb, Harrison's slide guitar is pure nostalgia, and the lyrics are sappy, to be kind. But if ''Free as a Bird'' was a musical funeral, this one, with its warm-and-fuzzy chorus, is the feel-good party afterward. In other words, John's only half-grimacing. B-
