LONG LIVE the queens! Robin Williams may have a hard time teaching Nathan Lane to walk like John Wayne in The Birdcage, but together the comedians easily held off a quartet of movie macho men. The launching power of Kurt Russell and Steven Seagal lifted Executive Decision to an eight-figure opening, but Birdcage flew higher still. Matt LeBlanc, the first Friend to test his box office muscle, struck out with the baseball comedy Ed, and would-be matinee idol Antonio Banderas got a kiss-off for his romance Two Much, which Disney allowed to die quietly on 348 screens. For studs, the weekend was certainly a drag.
