A ''Seinfeld'' sequel

A TV show may be in the works for Julia Louis-Dreyfus's character Elaine

Is Julia Louis-Dreyfus about to become the master of her domain? Next season might be the last for Seinfeld, but that doesn't necessarily mean fans will have to kiss all of the aging dysfunctional New Yorkers goodbye. According to a source close to the show, plans are in the works to develop a spin-off series featuring Louis-Dreyfus' character, Elaine. Lori Jonas, a publicist for Seinfeld, denies the project exists, but a spokeswoman for Louis-Dreyfus confirms that there have been discussions: ''The idea has been brought up, but it's in this strange place right now.'' She added that it's ''way too early'' to speculate on the series' chances.

So, would a spin-off of a show about nothing be less than nothing? Or nothing much?
