Laserdisc Review: 'Betty: Limboland'

On Betty: Limboland, Betty's music — a delectable mix of dance tunes and quirky, sexually ambiguous lyrics — sounds like the B-52's with Roches-style harmonies. Unfortunately, their wry sense of humor is buried under this hyperactive mess. The emphasis here is on cheesecake, with glam photos of band members swirling around a confusing interface. There are some funny biographical video tidbits, but the load time is inexcusably long, while the karaoke-style sing-along keeps you in limbo. C
