O.J. in the dictionary — The actor-athlete-acquittee appears in the latest American heritage Dictionary under ''genuine''

Go to sincere in the dictionary and who do you see? Abraham Lincoln? Nope. O.J. Simpson. In the third edition of The American Heritage Dictionary, the Acquittee of the Century mugs under the word that means ''genuine.'' ''It's purely coincidental,'' says Houghton Mifflin's Marion Severynse, who explains that Simpson and sincere are simply alphabetical neighbors. And there's no guarantee the as-yet-unscheduled next edition will update Simpson's entry (''American athlete who was the first professional football player to rush more than 2,000 yards in a season'') or remove his photo. ''It would be a comment,'' she says. At least Michael Jackson isn't pictured under well-adjusted.
