Happily, however, Sid Meiers' Civilization 2 has a nifty cheat switch that lets you smite thine enemies and rush reinforcements to the front. Like the original Civ, this enhanced version lets aspiring despots rule a kingdom of their own, starting in 4000 b.c. and working up to the modern era. Along the way you build new cities (in my case, Benburg and Benadelphia) and battle such historical figures as Catherine the Great and Mao Zedong.
