The Fourth Protocol

The Fourth Protocol casts Brosnan as the bad guy, a ruthless KGB operative in one of those intricately plotted, moderately suspenseful, slightly boring spy dramas at which the British excel. Planning to explode a nuclear device near a U.S. Air Force base in Britain, Brosnan exudes a sleek, icy menace that borders on the robotic — when he finally does lose his cool, he still seems oddly detached. Of course, none of his wiles prevent the decidedly less sleek Michael Caine (as an embattled British agent) from thwarting his plan. B-
