Lead Performance: Extra Fancy; Genre: Rock
--
You might assume a band that sports a name like Extra Fancy and that features an openly gay frontman would deliver flamboyant songs in the vein of Ziggy Stardust David Bowie. Think again. Extra Fancy play raging, melodic punk garnished with industrial beats and rockabilly rhythms. On Sinnerman, their debut album, they confront subjects like homophobia and domestic abuse with brutal candor and even a trace of levity, sandwiching demented dialogue snippets between aggressive tracks.
