Monifah attempts to establish herself in the Mary J. Blige mold of R&B/hip-hop divas. She's at her best when she lets emotions take control of her well-trained voice, as they do on her hit, ''I Miss You (Come Back Home).'' Some of the material falls flat, but all in all Moods...Moments is a very promising debut. B
