Living With Ghosts (1996)

EW's GRADE
B

Details Lead Performance: Patty Griffin

If earnestness is the bane of the unplugged artist, this 31-year-old Bostonian shows promise simply in dodging that first obstacle in Living With Ghosts. But Patty Griffin's heartbroken (naturally) lyrics and Rickie Lee Jones vocals only slightly tweak the familiar girl-with-guitar scenario, producing a debut that's more pleasant than powerful. B
