Details Lead Performance: Slayer; Genre: Metal

Judging from these generic hardcore-punk covers, Slayer seem to think that playing as fast and rigidly as possible makes for harder rock — but it's just lazy shtick. They do slow down for a klutzy remake of the Stooges' ''I Wanna Be Your Dog'' and an insufferable satanic dirge at Undisputed Attitude's end, but why would anybody stick around long enough to discover these?
