As an army sergeant avenging his family's slaughter, ex-gridiron star Brian Bosworth slugs his way through a crowded cast full of gun-running GIs, dirty federal agents, dapper L.A. drug dealers and Hammer as a villainous drug lord. Along the way, he meets a vengeful street kid (DeJuan Guy) and begins to question his own vendetta. Gee, One Man's Justice should have been such a simple action-avenger flick. But it's so mechanically overplotted that the hero's climactic retribution doesn't even deliver the requisite gut-level kick, and the result is an overcooked potboiler that simply fizzles out. C-
