Catz: Your Computer Petz

As the sometimes proud, more often exasperated, owner of two enormous felines, I can vouch for the verisimilitude of this simulation. Unlike the shaggy denizens of Dogz, the five cats you choose from in Catz: Your Computer Petz are virtually untrainable. So if you're hardwired for hard-bitten tabbies, spoiled-rotten Persians, or affectionate shorthairs, you'll enjoy watching your imaginary pet chase virtual mice across your monitor and tangle itself up in balls of yarn as it grows from kitten to adult. And you have to admire the way the Catz cat purrs submissively and thrusts its butt at you, just like the genuine article. B+
