Lead Performance: Various Artists

Most tributes sound uninspired. Not this one. Nearly everyone here — Eric Clapton, Robert Cray, Buddy Guy, and Stevie's brother, Jimmie — played with Vaughan at a 1990 blues fest the day before the guitarist's fatal helicopter crash. The heartfelt live reunion in A Tribute to Stevie Ray Vaughan commemorates that show with a set including Clapton's whiskey-smooth version of ''Ain't Gone 'N Give Up on Your Love'' and the blazing ensemble workout of ''SRV Shuffle.''
