''Why'' (1996)

EW's GRADE
B

Details Lead Performances: 3t and Michael Jackson; Genre: R&B

The moment that silky synth melody and Taj, TJ, and Taryll Jackson's mournful staccato harmonies come breezin' in, you know what you're getting: another sad love song by Babyface. Soon that familiar hiccup kicks in, and Michael Jackson helps his nephews take ''Why,'' their second single, to hallowed Toni Braxton terrain, where it's okay to cry, glamorous even, so long as you're wearing waterproof makeup.
