Guaranteed 100 percent laugh-free. (Sample joke: The Stupid family's dog is named...Kitty!) Typecast yet again, Tom Arnold stars as Stanley Stupid, a dim-bulb ex-postal worker who stumbles onto an illegal-weapons deal (always a promising topic for a kiddie comedy). Director John Landis gives the movie a garish, candy-colored look, and throws in his usual array of racial stereotypes, gratuitously violent sight gags, and pointless cameos for his filmmaker cronies (David Cronenberg, Costa-Gavras, etc.). The Stupids' one distinction? It's the only film ever to feature appearances by Bob ''Captain Kangaroo'' Keeshan and MTV's untalented Jenny McCarthy. And just when you think it can't get worse, Arnold breaks into song in a bizarre duet with talk-show host Rolonda Watts. At least the studio can't be accused of false advertising. F
