There are literally hundreds of point-and-click computer games for kids, but I can't think of any that match the depth, ingenuity, and humor of Muppet Treasure Island. In this three-disc set based on the movie (just out on video), players assume the role of young Hawkins, who hooks up with some familiar characters (including Kermit the Frog, Fozzie Bear, and Miss Piggy) in a gag-filled quest for buried loot. Besides its seamless mix of animated sets and live-action sequences, Island offers not-too-challenging puzzles (a crotchety parrot is always on call to offer guidance), appearances by Tim Curry (as Long John Silver) and Billy Connolly (as Billy Bones), and the kind of Muppety madness — like hapless rats running into walls — that kids and adults will find equally amusing. A
