The thirst for O.J. pulp is far from quenched, despite recent hits from Chris Darden and Vince Bugliosi. The latest dose comes courtesy of New Yorker scribe Jeffrey Toobin, famous for bringing former LAPD detective Mark Fuhrman's racist background into the public spotlight. Unfortunately for the author, he'll soon have competition from his own publisher in the guise of both American Tragedy, from ex-Simpson collaborator Larry Schiller, and Johnnie Cochran's Journey to Justice (released by Ballantine, a Random House imprint). But for now, Toobin's tome is the sole O.J. book in the top 10, with 205,000 copies in print after five pressruns.
