A Fistful of Dynamite's start Steiger urinating on an anthill isn't promising, but spaghetti-Western master Sergio Leone's epic about a Mexican peasant (Steiger) and an Irish terrorist (Coburn) who like to blow things up (originally called Duck, You Sucker because Leone thought that was an American catchphrase) is surprisingly engrossing. It's visually spectacular and has a lot more character development than you'd expect. This new disc version, nicely letterboxed, features about 20 minutes of worthy footage cut from previous American prints, but you can miss the so-called alternate ending tacked on after the credits; it differs from the earlier ending only by one tiny deleted scream.
