Total Control (1996)

EW's GRADE
B+

Details Lead Performance: Yo Yo; Genre: Hip-Hop/Rap

Yo Yo is one feisty rap diva, so it's no surprise she names her explosive duet with Ice Cube ''Bonnie and Clyde II.'' She's no run-of-the-mill gangstress, though: Yo Yo manages to come off both hardcore and positive on airy G-funk anthems (''One for the Cuties'') and supple dance grooves (''Steady Risin'''). Despite intense cameos from MC Lyte and Warren G, Yo Yo has no trouble proving who's in Total Control. B+
