Music Review: 'Definition of a Band' (1996)

Though it's refreshing to hear Mint Condition shunning the synthetic soul that dominates R&B in favor of live instrumentation, the long-winded collection Definition of a Band (19 tracks!) is surprisingly run-of-the-mill. Sure the guys are ace players, but their unremarkable vocals and ho-hum ballads drag things down. Before accepting their Definition of a Band as the final word, you might want to check with another source. B-
