Two great '60s tastes that go great together: Turban-wearing Hammond organ-meister Smith leads his band through burning, extended soul meditations on four of the late guitarist's numbers. Though sometimes given to overlong, navel-gazing jams (especially when guitarist John Abercrombie steps forward), Smith & Co. nonetheless do a wonderful job of funkifying already inventive music.
