JOHN LEGUIZAMO

MY YEAR THAT WAS

''This year was pretty wild. It was the busiest of my life. Some high points: I shot The Pest [due February], which was exciting because it was the first movie I coproduced and helped develop. And Executive Decision, because I was an action stud-muffin. I liked doing that crazy, testosterone, phallocentric work. With The Fan, I was sad -- I really thought it was a good movie. I understand the problem now. It's a thriller. If you cast a person who's done it before [meaning Robert De Niro], then there's no surprise. That was disappointing. I told all my friends, 'Yo, this is the big one.' Then it was the biggest bomb. I thought it was a tsunami and it turned out to be Nagasaki. ''
