Another example of the erotic-thriller tradition of red herrings on parade, Sensation wastes impressive technical work on the umpteenth retelling of a standard story, last used in the Jennifer Beals-Daniel Baldwin thriller Dead on Sight. Here it's former MTV veejay Kari Wuhrer as the psychic coed on the trail of a murderer, with Eric Roberts providing some desperately needed charisma as the professor manipulating her talents. Substituting irritating diversions for any real twists, the film simply plods along to a big nothing of a finale. C-
