Reuniting his '80s cowpunk outfit after five years on A Blazing Grace, Jason Ringenberg with his nasal whine remains a Dixie-fried Joey Ramone, and the band's guitars bash and twang like a demolition derby on tracks. Even with a couple of ballads cooling things down, the Scorchers still strike more than their share of sparks.B
