Sade Live (1994)

At this point in time, one concert video looks pretty much like any other, and this new one, Sade Live, featuring the Sexiest Forehead in Showbiz, is a perfect example. It's nicely shot, the sound is superb, and you've seen it all before. Fortunately, Sade's sultry makeout music is compelling enough that you probably won't mind director Sophie Muller's lack of visual originality. Consumer warning for apartment dwellers: Sade's sense of pitch is often wayward. If you have a cat, close the windows before viewing lest the little critter try to hurl itself to its doom. B
