MTV's Club Dead

Only after noodling with this funky, pixilated but essentially vapid and time-intensive thriller did I realize what makes MTV so great in the first place — you can't interact with it. Alas, the network's gone multimedia with this sci-fi movie/strategy game, MTV's Club Dead, which lets you roam through the trippy, futuristic environs of the Alexandria club — a seedy locale where the main attraction is an addictive form of virtual reality. Set to an industrial-rock soundtrack, the game makes you try to suss out why the club's hipster denizens are dying left and right...but it ends up being even more pointless than it sounds. Maybe the folks who brought us Kennedy should learn to leave the thinking to someone else. C
