These British gloom-and-doomers discovered the joys of American dance music a few years ago and became just another New Order/Love and Rockets clone: slo-mo Nick Cave vocals over ambient disco tracks on Funky Little Demons. Even The Wolfgan Press pans its work in the autobiographical ''11 Years'': ''11 years of faking it/From art to junk and Motown passions.'' C
