ARRESTED Hole's Courtney Love, 29, while on tour in Australia, on Jan. 21. She was charged with offensive behavior aboard a Qantas flight bound from Brisbane to Melbourne. Appearing before a magistrate, Love owned up to her misconduct and was released without conviction, though she ''received a bond of good behavior for one month,'' says constable Griffin of the Melbourne airport police.

BIRTHS A 6-pound-4-ounce girl, Wynter-Grace Dolores, was born to talk-show host Montel Williams, 38, and his wife, Grace, 30, on Jan. 21 in New York. According to a spokeswoman, Williams was so ecstatic, he ''rented a suite at the Waldorf-Astoria (for his wife) and filled it with eight dozen bouquets of red and white roses, and got her a manicure, pedicure, and facial. To top it off, he flew in her favorite masseuse from Las Vegas.'' Wynter-Grace is the couple's second child. Their son, Montel Brian II, is 16 months old.

RECOVERING Grateful Dead frontman Jerry Garcia, 52, after crashing a rented BMW 525i into a Highway 101 guardrail near Mill Valley, Calif., on Jan. 18. Though the car was totaled, Garcia emerged unscathed. ''God protects all Deadheads,'' says the band's spokesman. ''That, and a seat belt.''...TV diva Roseanne, 42, confined to bed as a precautionary measure. She is in her second month of pregnancy. The sitcom, however, must go on, so an upcoming episode of Roseanne was filmed ''with her in bed on the set,'' says a spokesman for the star. ''Roseanne's character is pregnant, so they'll figure out some way to handle (her condition). We're taking it day by day.''

DIVORCES Bernie Kopell, 61, formerly Doc on the TV series The Love Boat, and Yolanda Veloz-Kopell, after 20 years of marriage. The couple cited ''irreconcilable differences.''...Former Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page, 51, and his wife, Patricia Ecker, are splitting after nine years of marriage. A spokeswoman for Page would not confirm the grounds for the divorce. ''They're very private people,'' she says. The couple has a 5-year-old son.

PREGNANT Wheel of Fortune's primo letter turner Vanna White, 37, and husband George SantoPietro, 48, are expecting their second child, ''sometime this summer,'' according to a spokeswoman. Son Nicholas was born last year.

LAWSUITS Ex-Beatle George Harrison, 51, filed a multimillion- dollar suit against former manager Denis O'Brien on Jan. 20 in L.A., charging him with fraud and negligence. The suit calls O'Brien a ''faithless and fraudulent manager,'' and says he ''misused his position and (Harrison's) assets to finance secret profit and a lavish international lifestyle.'' O'Brien could not be reached for comment.
