Details Movie Rateds: PG-13, R; Genres: Action/Adventure, Comedy; With: David Alan Grier and Damon Wayans

After the action-comedy Mo' Money, Wayans returned to his In Living Color roots to modify his physically challenged hero Handi-Man into Blankman. Where Handi-Man: The Movie could have at least offered a mix of high concept and low taste, Blankman is nothing more than a Jerry Lewis vehicle without the new blood necessary to pull it off. Even worse, director Mike Binder tries to play the action straight, when more inventive filmmakers would have turned the mayhem into comic highlights. D-
